HyperTerminal Private Edition Help Uses HyperTerminal Help FileID: Q188098
|
When you view Hilgraeve HyperTerminal Private Edition 3.0 Help, the Help file associated with the version of HyperTerminal included with Windows 98 is displayed instead.
This behavior occurs because Windows 98 redirects calls made to the Hypertrm.hlp file to the Hypertrm.chm file.
To resolve this behavior, follow these steps:
hypertrm.hlp=hypertrm.chm
Microsoft has confirmed that this behavior is not caused by a problem in Windows 98, but may be caused by design changes in Windows 98. For more information about resolving this issue, contact the program's manufacturer.
HyperTerminal 1.2, the version of HyperTerminal included with Windows 98,
uses HTMLHelp. When a program attempts to open the Hypertrm.hlp file, the
HTMLHelp version of the file (Hypertrm.chm) is opened instead.
