INF Files in the Infback Folder Have Incorrect Time StampsID: Q188176
|
Setup information (INF) files located in the Windows\Inf\Infback folder have later time stamps than those located in the Windows\Inf folder.
This behavior occurs because the time stamps of INF files in the Windows\Inf\Infback folder indicate the time they were moved into the folder.
INF files in the Windows\Inf\Infback folder are backup copies of the INF files located in your previous version of Window's Windows\Inf folder. Windows 98 Setup preserves these files, but they are not used.
