InstallShield Hangs and "_Delis" Is Not Responding

SYMPTOMS

When you try to install a program using the InstallShield installer, the installation program may stop responding (hang) and "_Delis" may be listed as not responding in the Close Program dialog box.

CAUSE

Running an anti-virus program in the background may cause this behavior to occur.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, disable or uninstall the anti-virus program.

MORE INFORMATION

_Delis is the "file deleter" for InstallShield. You can click End Task in the Close Program dialog box for _Delis, but you will need to manually delete the installation files from the Windows\Temp folder after the installation is finished.
