No Support for Shared Installations in Windows 98ID: Q187649
|
When you try to set up a shared installation of Windows 98, you are unable to do so.
This behavior occurs because Windows 98 does not support shared installations.
This behavior is by design.
In Microsoft Windows 95, there is support for shared installations of the Windows 95 operating system. You can use this feature to configure your computer to begin the boot process from the local hard disk, from a floppy disk, or from a diskless workstation. After starting on your local computer, the remainder of the boot process uses files located on a network server. There is no support for shared installations in Windows 98.
