SYMPTOMS

When you restart your computer after you enable the Check Floppies On Reboot option in Norton Antivirus 4.0, you may receive the following error message:

Windows Protection Error.
You need to restart your computer.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using a computer with a Matrox Millennium or Matrox Mystique video adapter.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, obtain and install the latest drivers for your video adapter from Matrox.
