When you shut down Windows 95/98 and log on as a different user,
persistent connections to a NetWare server may appear in My Computer with
an "X" indicating they are disabled. When this occurs, the mapped drive is
not available to any program until you double-click the drive in Windows
Explorer.
Note that this behavior does not occur with drives mapped to Microsoft
Windows NT or Windows 95/98 servers, or with UNC connections to NetWare
servers.
This behavior can occur if you use the same user name and password for both the Windows NT and NetWare domains and your primary network logon is set to the Microsoft Client for Microsoft Networks.
Either change your user name on one of the domains, or set your primary
network logon to the Microsoft Client for NetWare networks. To change your
primary network logon, follow these steps:
