Problem with CardBus Controller After Upgrading to Windows 98ID: Q188124
|
When you upgrade a computer with a CardBus controller from Microsoft
Windows 95 to Windows 98, the CardBus controller may lose functionality.
When this occurs, you see the following status for the controller in
Device Manager:
The device has been disabled in the hardware. In order to use this device, you must re-enable the hardware. See your hardware documentation for details. (Code 29.)
This behavior can occur if the PC Card controller is set to "PCIC" instead of "CardBus" in the computer's CMOS settings.
