Problems Copying to a Double-Density Floppy After Formatting

SYMPTOMS

When you try to copy a file or files to a double-density floppy disk after you format the disk, you may receive a Disk Copy error message on a blue screen.


RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, copy the file or files to the floppy disk in MS-DOS. For information about copying files in MS-DOS, click Start, point to Programs, click MS-DOS Prompt, type copy /?, and then press ENTER.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 98.
