Properties of a Dial-Up Networking Connection Are Not Updated

SYMPTOMS

When you change property values (such as phone number or networking protocol information) of a Dial-Up Networking connection in the Dial-Up Networking folder, these changes are not applied to a copy of this connection on the desktop.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because when you change property values of a Dial-Up Networking connection in the Dial-Up Networking folder, only the following changes are applied to a copy of this connection on the desktop:

• Name



• Password



• Phone number

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, make needed changes to the original Dial-Up Networking connection in the Dial-Up Networking folder.
