Registry Checker Does Not Back Up Additional FilesID: Q187321

When you configure the Windows 98 Registry Checker tool to back up additional files, the files may not be backed up.
This behavior can occur when you do not capitalize the first letter of the "Files=" setting in the Scanreg.ini file.
To resolve this issue, capitalize the first letter of the word "Files."
The remaining letters of the word "Files" must be lowercase letters. For
example, to configure the Registry Checker tool to back up the
Autoexec.bat and Config.sys files, add the following line to the
Scanreg.ini file:
Files=30,config.sys,autoexec.bat
