ScanDisk Fails During Windows 98 Second Edition SetupID: Q233146
|
When you attempt to install Windows 98 Second Edition on a computer with a Sony PCV-L600 flash card removable media device, ScanDisk may fail during the Setup process.
This issue occurs because the PCV-L600 flash card removable media device does not use the File Allocation Table (FAT) file system. NOTE: This issue may also occur if you use other removable media device types that do not use FAT.
To work around this issue, temporarily remove the PCV-L600 flash card removable media device during Setup or run Setup using the following command line:
setup /isNOTE: When you use the "/is" command-line switch, Setup does not run ScanDisk.
