Screen Is Clipped Playing DVD Movie with Cinemaster 1.2

The information in this article applies to:


SYMPTOMS

When you are playing a movie in wide-screen mode using the Cinemaster 1.2 driver included with Windows 98, both sides of the screen may be clipped.


CAUSE

There is an aspect ratio problem in DVD Player.


RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to computers experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows 98 service pack that contains this fix.
