Setup from MS-DOS Displays Date in Two-Digit FormatID: Q232634
|
When you run Windows 98 Second Edition Setup from MS-DOS, you are prompted to confirm the date and time in the Date/Time Properties dialog box, and during Setup the year is displayed in a two-digit format. For example, the year 1999 appears as "99", the year 2000 appears as "00", and so on.
This behavior occurs due to the design of Windows 98 Second Edition Setup.
To resolve this issue, you can safely ignore this behavior. The date property you receive during Setup has no affect on the functionality of Windows 98 Second Edition.
This behavior is by design.
After Setup is complete, the year in the Date/Time tool in Control Panel is displayed in a four-digit format. For example, the year 1999 appears as "1999".
