Two PC Cards Detected for Every One Inserted Into Your ComputerID: Q191364
|
After you upgrade to Windows 98, you may experience one or both of the
following symptoms:
This behavior can occur if you are using a Dell Xpi CD Latitude laptop computer with Phoenix Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) version A04.
To resolve this behavior, obtain the A10 BIOS revision from Dell Computer
Corporation's Web site or Dell Technical Support.
After you install the BIOS revision, device detection functions properly,
but there are still two Texas Instruments PCI 1130 CardBus controllers
displayed in Device Manager. This is normal behavior because Device
Manager displays one controller for each socket.
For information about how to update your computer's BIOS, please contact
Dell Computer Corporation.
