Volume Label Not Displayed in Windows Explorer or My ComputerID: Q232943
|
When you label a hard disk, the label may not be displayed in Windows Explorer or My Computer.
This issue can occur if you label the disk using the Format command in Windows Explorer or at an MS-DOS prompt.
You can view the Volume Label in the disk properties. You can also view the volume label using the Dir command at an MS-DOS prompt.
If you change the Volume Label after the disk has been formatted, the volume label is still not displayed in Windows Explorer or My Computer.
