WebTV Reminders Cannot Be Changed or Deleted After Upgrade

SYMPTOMS
After you upgrade to Windows 98 Second Edition, you may not be able to change or delete your reminders in Microsoft WebTV for Windows.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if the file that contains the pointers to your reminders is damaged.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, use the following steps to manually delete the reminders:
- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to Entertainment, and then click WebTV for Windows.
- Click the Search tab, click My Reminders in the Catagories box, click Remind, and then click
No reminder. Continue this process until all entries are gone, and then click Close.
- Click Start, point to Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.
- Click View, click Folder Options, and then click the View tab.
- Click Show all files in the Advanced Settings box, and then click OK.
- In Windows Explorer, click the Windows\Tasks folder, click to select the file where the name begins with Microsoft Television Services, right-click this file, click Delete, and then click Yes. Continue these steps until all files that start with Microsoft Television Services are gone.
