Windows 98 Setup Stops Responding After First RestartID: Q194836
|
When you try to install Windows 98 and your computer has only Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) hard disks, the installation process may stop responding after the first restart.
This issue can occur when your computer's Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) internal cache is set to write back.
To resolve this issue, configure your computer's BIOS internal cache to write through. For information about how to do so, contact the manufacturer of your computer or motherboard, or view the documentation included with your computer or motherboard.
