An application that spawns many CMD windows can be greatly affected by the properties that are selected for the CMD window. When you look at a Performance Monitor log, the memory used for the CMD windows will show up under the CSRSS process.

To get to the Properties windows for CMD, perform the following steps:

  1. Open a CMD window.


  2. Right-click the MS-DOS icon in the top left corner.


  3. Click Properties from the menu.
