Dial-Up Networking Generates Dr Watson When Called Via Shortcut (DisableSavePassword Active)ID: Q189832
|
If the following registry key
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\Parameter
\DisableSavePassword
is set to 1, and a phonebook entry from Dial-Up Networking is called by
using a shortcut on the desktop, the RASPHONE application will stop with an
access violation. The same situation could also happen if Rasphone.exe is
started with command line parameters or if Microsoft Outlook is configured
to use remote mail.
