Scheduled Logoff Fails on Locked Workstation with Active Screen SaverID: Q223408

If a scheduled logoff occurs while a computer is logged on, but it is locked and a screen saver is active, then only a partial logoff occurs. The computer is left in a state where it has a blank desktop. Pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL still opens the Windows NT security dialog box.
A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but
it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems
experiencing this specific problem. If you are not severely affected by this
specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Windows NT 4.0 service pack
that contains this fix.
