Winnt32.exe and Setupdd.sys Are Not Included with Downloadable Versions of SP4

SYMPTOMS

Winnt32.exe and Setupdd.sys are not included with the downloadable versions of Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4. These files are only available on the CD.

RESOLUTION

These files are available for download from the following Internet location as Sp4exti.exe (x86) and Sp4exta.exe (Alpha):

ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/fixes/usa/nt40/ussp4/additional/

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.
