PRB: SNMP Testdll Extension Agent Cannot Be Loaded on Win95

SYMPTOMS

Under Windows 95, the SNMP Testdll.dll sample is unable to be loaded by the extendible agent Snmp.exe, even if you follow the steps to add the extension agent listed in the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

CAUSE

The SnmpApi.dll is not distributed with the installation of the SNMP agent under Windows 95.

RESOLUTION

You can update your system to the appropriate version of Snmp.exe and SnmpApi.dll by installing the Winsock 2 update from the following Web site:

   http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/contents/Updates/ 
   W95Sockets2/default.asp
