PRB: Video Window Has Black Frame and Small Size

SYMPTOMS

Why is there a black frame around my video window? Why can I only get the Small size in the Video options?

CAUSE

You are probably using a video-capturing device that NetMeeting does not recognize. For all new devices that are not in the NetMeeting list of known devices, NetMeeting always uses their default image size (in this case 160x120). The Small, Medium, and Large NetMeeting sizes are created from this default size, usually by adding black bands around the image.

RESOLUTION

A list of known compatible Video capturing devices is available at the following location. Using one of these devices solves the problem:
