The SQL Query Wizard will produce the following error message if two tables with names such as 1CUST.DBF and _1CUST.DBF are added to a query:
Alias name is already in use
To avoid this problem, rename one of the tables.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FoxPro version 2.6 for MS-DOS and Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
1. Create two copies of CUSTOMER.DBF: one called _1CUST.DBF and one
called 1CUST.DBF.
2. Add both files to the Catalog Manager under the Table tab.
3. Create a new query with the SQL Query Wizard.
4. Move _1CUST.DBF from the first column to the second.
5. Move 1CUST.DBF from the first column to the second.
The Query Wizard will display the error message "Alias name is already in use."
