The information in this article applies to:
When the PAGE UP key is pressed in a list box that gets its information from a field in a empty database, FoxPro will hang (lock up) the computer. FoxPro will hang if the PAGE UP key is pressed twice, or if the PAGE DOWN and PAGE UP keys are pressed one after the other.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FoxPro 2.5, 2.5a, 2.5b, and 2.6 for MS-DOS. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
1. Open a database that has no records in it.
2. Create a screen.
3. Using a field from the database, create a list box that contains at
least three lines.
4. Generate the screen.
5. Run the screen and press the PAGE UP key twice. FoxPro will hang, and
the computer will have to be rebooted.
