The information in this article applies to:
When printing from FoxPro for MS-DOS to an Apple LaserWriter using the PostScript printer driver, nothing prints.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. There is no resolution at this time.
NOTE: FoxPro for Windows will print to the Apple LaserWriter.
The printer data light flashes indicating that the printer is receiving data, but when the flashing stops, nothing prints even when you press the form feed button.
The same Postscript driver works when printing to other Postscript printers such as a Postscript HP LaserJet printer.
The Apple LaserWriter II NT and Apple LaserWriter Pro are the 2 models tested. Sending the print job to a file, then copying the file to the printer produces the same problem.
1. Set the Postscript driver as the default printer driver.
2. Open any text file to be printed.
3. Select File, Print, OK.
