When Appending a Spreadsheet to a Database by using FOR with a UDF (User Defined Function), you receive an "Invalid Subscript Reference" error message.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
1. Enter MODIFY COMMAND TEST In the Command window.
2. In the TEST.PRG Enter the following Code:
USE C:\FPW26\TUTORIAL\Customer.dbf
COPY TO Test.xls
APPEND FROM Test.xls TYPE XLS FOR Myudf()
FUNCTION Myudf
RETURN .T.
3. From the File Menu, choose Save.
4. Enter DO Test in the Command window.
