Under certain circumstances when using a serial printer, the last line doesn't print, and the page eject doesn't occur until a new print job is sent to the printer.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
Run the following program:
SET PRINTER TO com2,9600,n,8,1,h,rl
SET DEVICE TO PRINT
FOR i = 1 TO 10
@ i,1 SAY i PICTURE "999"
@ i,10 SAY DATE()
ENDFOR
SET DEVICE TO SCREEN
EJECT
SET PRINTER TO
Note that the 10th line is not printed, and the printer does not eject
the page until a new print job is sent.
