The information in this article applies to:
In the Catalog Manager, if you double-click a table entry, for example to initiate a BROWSE, the index order resets to 0 even though an index order was previously set.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in FoxPro version 2.6 for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
1. Start FoxPro version 2.6 for Windows.
2. Open the Sample Catalog file.
3. USE the CUSTOMER database.
4. From the Data menu, choose Order Table.
5. Select the CITY tag, and then choose Set Order.
6. Choose OK.
7. Choose the Browse button in the Catalog Manager window.
A look at the CITY field will show that the index order is set.
8. Close the Browse window.
9. Double-click the CUSTOMER table to show the same Browse window.
Note that the order is now cleared from the table. Looking at the Order Table dialog box again will show that no order is set.
