The HELPTREE.MPR program creates a Helptree menu. The commands in this menu display specific sections of the FoxPro Help file.
Helptree can also perform Boolean text searches through the Help file. This is particularly helpful when don't know the name of a command, function, or system memory variable and want to search on its characteristics.
NOTE: In FoxPro version 2.0, the HELPTREE.MPR program creates a Help menu, not a Helptree menu. The commands, however, are identical.
1. Start FoxPro for MS-DOS.
2. From the Program menu, choose Do.
3. Under the main FoxPro directory (by default, FOXPRO25 in FoxPro
version 2.5, and FOXPRO2 in FoxPro version 2.0), select the GOODIES
subdirectory and choose Do.
4. Select the HELPTREE subdirectory and choose Do. Then select HELPTREE.MPR
and choose Do.
Note that there is now a Helptree menu with the following commands:
The Search command displays a dialog box that allows you to perform Boolean searches through the Help file. You can specify the following:
Displays the complete Help file (equivalent to choosing Help from the System menu, typing HELP in the Command window, or pressing the F1 key).
Each of the following commands displays a submenu that allows you to choose specific categories of the Help file for viewing.
