The information in this article applies to:
If two memo fields surrounded by frames are placed one under the other in the Detail band of a report, the frames will not stretch correctly with the memo fields. The frame around the second memo field appears to be starting at a fixed location with respect to the start of each Detail band. This does not occur in Visual FoxPro.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Visual FoxPro version 3.0 for Windows.
1. Create a new table that contains two memo fields. Add a couple of
records with varying amounts of data in the memo fields.
2. Create a new report. Place both memo fields, one under the other, in the
Detail band.
3. Create a frame for each memo field by using the rectangle tool. Change
the pen color of each frame to make the results easy to see.
4. Hold down the shift key, and click the first memo field. Then click
its frame. On the Object menu, click Group. Repeat this process for
the second memo and its frame.
5. On the Report menu, click Preview.
Notice the second frame seems to always begin in the same place relative to the start of each Detail band.
