The information in this article applies to:
When you click the Browse window of an unrelated table, the record pointer moves unexpectedly. This occurs after clicking a parent-table Browse window that is open in another work area. This only occurs when the SET SKIP TO <child table> command is in effect.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Visual FoxPro 3.0b for Macintosh.
Using the sample files from the Tutorial folder in the FoxPro folder, copy and run the program listed below:
CLOSE DATA
USE customer IN 1
USE invoices IN 2 ORDER cno
SET RELATION TO cno INTO invoices
SET SKIP TO invoices
USE detail IN 3
SELECT detail
GO 10
BROWSE LAST NOMODIFY NOWAIT
SELECT customer
GO 10
BROWSE LAST NOMODIFY NOWAIT
ACTIVATE WINDOW "Customer"
ACTIVATE WINDOW "Detail"
Notice that the record pointer is not on record 10 in the detail table.
Continue to click the title bar of the two Browse windows and notice that
the record pointer moves each time the Browse window titled "Detail" is
clicked.
