FIX: Reports Executed from Loop Cause "Insufficient Memory"ID: Q110969
|
When using a Hewlett-Packard (HP) laser printer driver, running multiple consecutive reports from within a program loop reduces the graphical device interface (GDI) resource space until an "Insufficient memory" error occurs. The "Printer Not Ready" error message or a general protection (GP) fault may also occur.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in FoxPro version 2.6a for Windows.
The GDI is the Windows system resource that executes graphics operations
that create images on the system display and other devices.
To check the amount system resources available, go to Program Manager. From
the Help menu, choose About Program Manager. The amount of free resources,
which includes GDI resources, is listed as a percentage.
