The SYS(2018) function provides access to additional information about the cause of an error that accompanies certain error messages. For example, if you refer to a memory variable that does not exist, its name is included in the error message. The SYS(2018) function returns this additional information, which is called the error message parameter. Two examples of error message parameters are memory variable names and filenames.
In Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS releases prior to March 25, 1992, successive calls to the SYS(2018) function return the variable name associated with the first call to the function.
Microsoft has confirmed that this bug occurs in releases prior to March 25, 1992 of Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS. This problem was corrected in the March 25, 1992 release of Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS.
