SYMPTOMS

The VALID clause of a READ TIMEOUT is not executed.

CAUSE

When you are using READ ... VALID ... TIMEOUT , the TIMEOUT clause causes a time-out to occur and terminate the READ completely.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS. This problem was corrected in the release of Microsoft FoxPro version 2.0 for MS-DOS dated September 26, 1992.
