The BROWSE command activates a table view of records in a database. The BROWSE command, without any parameters, allows the user to add, delete, and edit records in a tabular view of the currently active database file. In the tabular view, records are displayed as rows, and fields as columns.
The following sample application uses a Browse window to validate and update database fields:
USE c:\foxpro2\tutorial\detail
BROWSE FIELDS qty:v=replaceit(), price:v=replaceit(), ltotal ;
VALID replaceit()
PROCEDURE replaceit
REPLACE ltotal with qty * price
