The information in this article applies to:
Although the file type is not checked when a file is added to the Catalog Manager, the following error message will appear when an attempt is made to open the file from within the catalog:
Error 18: (Line too long) at line 84 occurred while running <.CDX>
To avoid this problem, make sure that the extension of the file to be added to the Catalog Manager is valid for the selected category. Additionally, avoid renaming files from one extension to another valid yet incorrect file type extension, such as "RENAME myfile.CDX TO myfile.DBF".
1. Open a catalog.
2. Select the Query tab and choose the Add button.
3. In the Add dialog box, select the All Files check box.
4. Select a .CDX file. When you see the message "Was <.CDX> created in
FoxPro?", choose OK.
5. Try to use the newly added .CDX file in the query list. The error
message mentioned above should appear.
