The information in this article applies to:
In FoxPro 2.6a for Macintosh, the RLOCK()function fails after locking 220 records due to a limitation of Macintosh file sharing.
Microsoft is researching this behavior and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
1. Confirm that file sharing is enabled by clicking the Apple menu,
choosing Control Panels, and then selecting Sharing Setup.
2. Create and run the following program:
SET STATUS ON
USE SYS(2004)+"Tutorial:Customer.dbf" SHARED
SET MULTILOCKS ON
DO WHILE !EOF() AND RLOCK()
SKIP
ENDDO
3. After record 220 is locked, the message "Attempting to lock... Press ESC
to Cancel" appears briefly in a Wait Window, and then the program
terminates. The status bar displays Record: 221/500 Record Unlocked
