The information in this article applies to:
The SET READBORDER OFF command does not affect three-dimensional (3-D) GET fields.
A 3-D field is created by applying shading slightly below and to the right of the GET field border. The third parameter of the SIZE clause on the @ ... GET statement controls the size of this shading.
If the border did not appear, a 3-D field could not be created.
For more information on designing 3-D GET fields in Visual FoxPro for Macintosh, version 3.0, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

TITLE : BUG: Can't Use 3-D GET Fields in Visual FoxPro for Macintosh
This behavior is by design.
In the Command window, type the following commands:
CLEAR
SET READBORDER OFF
ACTIVATE WINDOW SCREEN
getfld1= "ABCDEFG"
getfld2 = "ABCDEFG"
@ 1,5 GET getfld1
@ 5,5 GET getfld2 PICTURE "@3K"
Note that the 3-D GET field has a border, even though READBORDER has
been set to OFF.
