SET HELP TO FOXHELP.HLP Command Requires Windows 3.1

The information in this article applies to:

• Microsoft FoxPro for Windows, versions 2.5 and 2.5a

The command SET HELP TO FOXHELP.HLP does not work properly if you are running FoxPro for Windows with Microsoft Windows graphical environment version 3.0. FOXHELP.HLP requires WINHELP.EXE, which is provided with Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1.

When FoxPro for Windows is run with Windows 3.0, only the FoxPro for MS-DOS-style help screen is available. The command SET HELP TO FOXHELP.HLP does not immediately return an error message, but the error message "This version of help file is not supported" is displayed when you invoke the help screen.
