FP1: Pressing DELETE Won't Delete Selected Image in FP Editor

SYMPTOMS

If you select an image in an open page in FrontPage Editor (the four small square handles will appear at the corners of the image), and if you press the DELETE key to delete the image, the image will not be deleted.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use either of the following methods:

  • Select the image, and click Clear on the Edit menu.

-or-
  • Select the image by dragging over it with the mouse, and then press the DELETE key.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft FrontPage 97 for Windows with Bonus Pack.
