Bitmaps Transferred from Handheld PC to PC Cannot Be OpenedID: Q159279
|
A bitmap (.bmp) file transferred from your desktop computer to your Handheld PC (H/PC) is converted to a .2bp file. However, when a .2bp file is transferred to the desktop computer, the file is not converted to a bitmap file. Microsoft Paint does not recognize the .2bp file format and generates the following error message:
There is not enough memory or resources to complete operation. Close some programs, and then try again.
This problem occurs because neither Windows CE nor H/PC Explorer includes a converter to convert from .2bp to .bmp format.
Microsoft has made the Microsoft Windows CE Power Toys (Powtoy.exe)
available. The Windows CE Power Toys includes the Paint for Windows CE
program. The Pocket Paint program installs a converter which allows you to
convert .2bp files from your H/PC to .bmp files on your desktop computer.
NOTE: No formal product support is available from Microsoft for this
utility.
