NOTE: If you are running Internet Explorer 5 in Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0 with the Windows Desktop Update component included with Internet Explorer 4, you need to uninstall Internet Explorer 5 before performing the steps in this article to add or remove the Windows Desktop Update Component. To add Windows Desktop Update during Setup, click Yes when you are prompted to install the Windows Desktop Update components.
NOTE: You are not prompted to install Windows Desktop Update during Setup if either of the following circumstances exists:
To add Windows Desktop Update if Internet Explorer 4.0 or 4.01 is already installed, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-
   click Add/Remove Programs.
