SYMPTOMS

The toolbar button text in Internet Explorer may be truncated.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using a large font size in Windows 95.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, reduce the font size used for icons. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-

   click Display.

2. On the Appearance tab, click Icon in the Item box.

3. In the Size box to the right of the Font box, click a smaller font

   size, and then click OK.

MORE INFORMATION

Internet Explorer toolbar buttons are considered icons. Although these buttons are not affected by the Icon Spacing setting, the text for the buttons is affected by the Font Size setting. When you use a large font size in Windows 95, the toolbar button text in Internet Explorer may be too large to fit in the space provided.

This behavior can occur when you select a desktop scheme [such as Lilac (Large)] with a large font size.
