Background Image Not Printed in Internet Explorer

SYMPTOMS

When you print a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) page that contains a background image in Internet Explorer, the background image is not printed.

The printing of background images is not supported in Internet Explorer.

Use either of the following methods:

You may be able to work around this behavior by copying the image from Internet Explorer to the clipboard. To do so, press ALT+PRINT SCREEN in Internet Explorer. Then, open any program that supports pasting bitmap images (such as Paint), paste the image into the program, and then print the image.
Obtain Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.0. Internet Explorer 2.0 can print background images.

This behavior no longer occurs in Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.0.
