Cannot Cancel Articles Posted to Public Internet News Servers

SYMPTOMS

When you are using Microsoft Internet News and you click Cancel on the File menu, your message may not be removed from some news servers.

CAUSE

The ability to cancel a message sent to a specific news server is dependent upon that news server's configuration. Many news servers are configured to ignore cancel requests.
