If you have not yet installed Internet Mail and News, install Internet Mail and News, and then click Yes when the Setup program prompts you to choose Internet Mail and News as your default e-mail program. To install Internet Mail and News for Macintosh, view the following Microsoft Web site:

   http://www.microsoft.com/ie/

If you have already installed Internet Mail and News and you want to make it your default e-mail program, follow these steps:

  1. Start Internet Explorer, and then click Preferences on the Edit menu.

  2. Under Network, click Protocol Helpers.

  3. Click Mailto, click Change, and then click Choose Helper.

  4. In the Protocol Helper Editor dialog box, click Internet Mail and News 3.0, and then click Open.

  5. Click OK, and then click OK.
