Imported Encrypted Microsoft Exchange Message Is Blank

Last reviewed: September 3, 1997
Article ID: Q154114
The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Internet Mail and News version 1.0 for Windows 95

SYMPTOMS

When you import an encrypted message from Microsoft Exchange to Internet Mail, the message body is blank.

CAUSE

This is expected behavior. Internet Mail cannot receive encrypted messages and cannot therefore decrypt the Microsoft Exchange message.

MORE INFORMATION

The ability to encrypt messages is included with Microsoft Exchange Server. Because Internet Mail does not interact with messages on a Microsoft Exchange Server mail system, this feature is not included in Internet Mail.
