Inbox Assistant Rules Applied in Top-Down Order

When you use Inbox Assistant to direct messages to different folders, the rules are applied in top-down order.

There is no description or indication in Inbox Assistant of the order in which rules are processed. Messages are processed by the first rule, reading from the top down, that matches the criteria entered.

To change the order in which rules are processed, follow these steps:

  1. In Internet Mail, click Inbox Assistant on the Mail menu.

  2. Click the rule you want to move, and then click Move Up or Move Down to change the rule's position in the list of rules.

  3. Click OK.
