  • Microsoft Internet Mail and News version 1.0 for Windows 95

SYMPTOMS

When you are viewing the Inbox in Internet Mail and you click Refresh on the View menu or press the F5 key, nothing seems to happen.

CAUSE

Unlike Internet News, the Refresh command in Internet Mail does not download messages from the server. Instead, it only refreshes the messages stored on your hard disk.

RESOLUTION

To update the list of mail messages in your Inbox by downloading new messages from the mail server, click Send And Receive on the Internet Mail toolbar.

MORE INFORMATION

Internet Mail automatically updates the list of mail messages when you click Send And Receive or when you change from one folder to another.
